Opening Ceremony kicks off Clinical Congress

On Monday morning, newly installed ACS President LaMar S. McGinnis, Jr., MD, FACS (pictured at right), spoke about professionalism in the 21st century, followed by introduction of officers, dignitaries, and special guests. Included among the individuals standing on the stage with Dr. McGinnis were the newly installed Vice-Presidents, the five 2009 Honorary Fellows, past Honorary Fellows, the Board of Regents, the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors, the Immediate Past-President along with other Past-Presidents, the Immediate Past-Vice-Presidents, the International Guest Scholars, and special invited guests from domestic and international medical and surgical organizations, as well as Thomas R. Russell, MD, FACS, Executive Director of the College.
