ACS-Emerson Scholar-in-Residence in Medical Ethics established

The American College of Surgeons Foundation is proud to announce a grant from the Emerson Charitable Trust to establish the ACS-Emerson Scholar-in-Residence in Medical Ethics in collaboration with the Saint Louis (MO) University Emerson Ethics Center. The program provides a promising surgical resident with a two-year immersion in the study of the ethical issues facing surgeons today.

Under the mentorship of C. Rollins Hanlon, MD, FACS, the first Emerson Scholar, Jason Keune, MD, a surgical resident at Washington University, began the fellowship in June of this year.
