Exciting week of special events planned for July Las Vegas Market

Summer Las Vegas Market is just a few weeks away, and an exciting line-up of special events will be happening throughout the week of July 30 – August 3.

World Market Center will get things started with the “Summer Market Kick-Off Party” on Monday, July 30, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Plaza between Buildings A and B. Buyers and sellers will gather to kick off Las Vegas Market in style with plenty of food, fun and refreshments. The kick-off party is co-hosted by WMC and Furniture Today.

On Tuesday, July 31, the Sands Expo will be transformed into the sights, sounds and tastes of Venice for the “Viva la Venetian Festival,” complete with music, costumed performers and delicious cuisine. Join us from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. for the festival as we re-create the spectacles and fantasies of the magical Italian city known for its savory food, breathtaking beauty and romance!

Join us Wednesday, August 1, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Japanese Pavilion at the Sands Expo for a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, complete with chashitsu (tea house) and omogashi (pastries). The Japanese Tea Ceremony is a traditional ritual in which green tea, or matcha, is ceremonially prepared by a skilled practitioner and served to a small group of guests in a tranquil setting.

Also on Wednesday, take a break from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas Market to enjoy a cool and refreshing cocktail and sizzling cuisine at WMC’s “Island Dreams Polynesian Party.” Join us in Buildings A and B from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. for a relaxing evening of entertainment and authentic island fare as we slow down the pace and celebrate another successful day at Market.

Finally, wind down with confectionary delights and refreshing spirits for “Delightful Desserts” in the atriums of Buildings A and B from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 2. Lavish desserts and cocktails will be served as the soothing sound of live jazz plays in the background. Each guest will receive a commemorative box of Las Vegas Market truffles.

WMC tenants and exhibitors also will be hosting a number of promotional events and parties throughout the week, many featuring celebrity designers and television personalities.
