Online registration, host hotels open for Winter Market

Attendees encouraged to book early from a wide range of Las Vegas properties

World Market Center, the world’s fastest growing home furnishings event, is inviting retailers, designers, manufacturers, members of the media and other industry professionals to pre-register and book their hotels online for the 2008 Winter Las Vegas Market Jan. 28 to Feb. 1.Skyline

Those planning to attend Winter Market can choose from economy lodging, boutique properties and luxurious accommodations — all available to Market participants at significant savings through WMC’s host hotel program offered online.

“Our Winter Market is the first major home furnishings event of the year, and it has proven itself as an exceptionally strong buying market for retailers around the world,” said Michelle Monteferrante, vice president of trade show operations, WMC. “Home furnishings industry professionals who intend to take part in an incredible line up of educational opportunities, exciting specially themed events and hundreds of new product introductions from more than 1,200 exhibiting companies will want to plan well in advance to attend the next Las Vegas Market.”

Winter Las Vegas Market will feature nearly 3 million square feet of permanent showrooms in two buildings, showcasing some of the biggest and best brands in home furnishings. In addition, hundreds of companies will be located within the expansive Pavilions, located on the WMC campus, as well temporary exhibits at MGM Grand with five distinctive show sections covering nearly 350,000 square feet.

Market officials have negotiated rates at a variety of properties, including off-strip lodging options with rooms as low as $40 per night. Complimentary M-Line shuttle service will be offered all week from all host hotels to WMC’s campus and MGM Grand.
