World Market Center hits runway with fashion-forward advertising campaign
Marketing program inspired new event series to address the convergence of fashion and furniture
Hot on the heels of New York’s famed Fashion Week, World Market Center unveiled a new advertising and marketing campaign previewing the January 2008 Winter Las Vegas Market.
The campaign kicked off with a series of print ads appearing in dozens of home furnishing trade publications showing how the fashion runway influences today’s interiors and how couture can move from the catwalk and into the home.
The ads taglined with “Home Furnishings’ RunwaySM” and themed “Preview the New World” utilize contemporary fashion images paired with modern furnishings to visually depict the Las Vegas Market experience as we all to underscore the new product lines being unveiled at the semi-annual Market. The Marketing campaign is fully integrated and will influence a new seminar series for January Market. “The Forecast” is a three-part series that shows how couture can move from the catwalk and into the home. Experts will unveil trends in color, the convergence of fashion and fabric, as well as the hottest industry trends for the year ahead.
Attendees are invited to a fashion-forward, ultra-chic networking event to kick off Market week in high style. WMC and Furniture Today will co-sponsor the opening night kick-off party, “Vegas Runway” on Jan. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“Las Vegas Market is a very fashion-forward event and is turning the heads of progressive retailers and designers from Miami to Milan,” said Dana Andrew, vice president of marketing and public relations, WMC. “When fashion meets furniture, the result is new products and exciting trends set to debut at Las Vegas Market. This marketing concept also conveys the idea that World Market Center is redefining the buying experience by bringing passion and fashion to buyers and sellers.”
WMC officials say each Las Vegas Market event is a totally new and different experience for buyers, and as a result, the ad campaign should be different from anything they’ve ever seen before. What is reflected in this fashionable campaign echoes the Market’s personality and approach: fresh, sophisticated, high fashion and a sign of the industry’s future.
“Similar to Las Vegas Market, the campaign balances style and function,” Andrew said, “but the true ‘wow’ factor will be felt by those attending.” |
